Katie Moffett graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management. After graduating from EMU, Moffett was looking for a summer internship before she began what is her current job at Lincoln High School. Moffett’s cousin, Lisa Mack, was able to reach out and connect her to Meg Seng for an internship opportunity with The Academy for Sport Leadership.
While interning for TASL, Moffett was responsible for helping plan and coordinate all of the events for the Future Coaches Camp. She also put together all of the packets for the campers and stayed in the dorm with them for the entire camp, where she assisted with getting the campers to and from the different venues.
After her internship, Moffett started her current job as the Coordinator for Athletic and Sport Development at Lincoln High School, and is also the assistant varsity softball coach. Additionally, Moffett is attending Wayne State University where she is pursuing a master’s degree in Sport Administration.
